Where your junk goes
Hauling it away is half the job. Sorting it is the other half, and it’s how we keep as much as possible out of the landfill.
Usable furniture and goods
Sound dressers, tables, lamps and housewares get set aside for donation instead of going in the dump pile.
Metal and appliances
Scrap metal is recycled. Refrigerators, freezers and AC units go where their refrigerant can be removed properly before disposal.
What’s left
The rest goes to the Delaware Solid Waste Authority’s Cherry Island Landfill on East 12th Street, the landfill that serves New Castle County.

FAQ
Junk removal questions we hear in Wilmington
Something else on your mind? Call (302) 803-4992 and ask.
What is the minimum charge for junk removal in Wilmington?
Our minimum covers one bulky item, like a couch, a mattress set or a refrigerator. It typically runs $75 to $150 depending on the size, the weight and how far we have to carry it. Add a few more pieces to the same trip and the price per item drops.
How do you price a load of junk?
By the space it takes in our truck. A small pile might fill a quarter of the truck, a garage cleanout often fills half or more. We look at everything on site, tell you the all-in price, and only start once you say yes. Heavy materials like concrete, brick or roofing shingles can cost more because disposal is charged by weight.
Do I need to be home when you come?
For anything inside your home, yes, or someone you trust needs to let us in. If everything is already on the porch, by the curb or in an open garage, we can often handle it with you on the phone and confirm the price before we load.
What won’t you haul?
Wet paint, household chemicals, pesticides, fuel, motor oil, propane tanks and anything containing asbestos. Those need special handling. The Delaware Solid Waste Authority runs household hazardous waste collection events for exactly that kind of material.
Can you take what the city bulk pickup refuses?
Yes. Wilmington’s special pick-up through 311 doesn’t take building materials or concrete, and the items have to be at the curb. We carry from inside the house and haul remodel debris like drywall, lumber, cabinets and tile.
Do you donate or recycle what you haul?
When we can. Furniture and household goods in good shape get set aside for donation, scrap metal goes to recycling, and refrigerators and AC units go where their refrigerant is removed properly. What’s left goes to the landfill.
How soon can you come?
Call us and we’ll give you the earliest opening on our schedule. Tell us if you’re working against a closing date, a move-out or a lease turnover and we’ll plan around it.
Do you work outside the city of Wilmington?
Yes. We cover New Castle County, including Newark, New Castle, Bear, Hockessin, Pike Creek, Claymont, Middletown, Elsmere and Newport. See our full service area.
